Limited bus service is available from Bogalusa and Mandeville. Service is not available to individual homes and subdivisions. Central stops are located along the routes. If you have any questions regarding the Bogalusa or Mandeville buses, please call SSA (892-2540, ext. 125).
Policies, Rules and Regulations
SSA/SPS Mandeville bus service is expected to be $675 per year. This price covers morning and afternoon service. There is no late or activity bus service available.
Bus registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Registrations will not be accepted without the $200.00 deposit. Final payment must be made before riding the bus.
Refund Policy: Refund will be pro-rated on a quarterly basis. Parents must notify us before the end of the school quarter concerning a student’s discontinuation of bus service.
The bus driver is in charge of the bus and riders. The bus driver is to be treated with the utmost respect at all times. All riders shall obey the driver promptly and politely. If a student does not comply with the directives of the driver, school officials will be notified and that student may be dismissed from the bus service.
While the bus is in motion, all riders must be seated and must conduct themselves in an orderly fashion. Students may not extend heads, arms, etc. out of windows. Nothing may be thrown from the window. Loud voices, rowdiness, horse-play, etc. will not be tolerated. All students must respect everyone on the bus at all times. All riders are to be on time for departure. The bus will not wait for latecomers. If the bus is late, students are not to leave. In case of a bus breakdown, we will notify you. Just wait. Absolutely no smoking, chewing or eating any food. Bottled water is allowed; containers must be disposed of in the trash container provided at the front of the bus. This will be strictly enforced. If abused, consequences will follow. Students may load or unload from bus only at designated stops unless permission is received from school officials. All open windows should be closed prior to departure from the bus. Any damage to bus property will result in seating assignments and financial responsibilities to the students and their families. Inappropriate behavior may result in being suspended or dismissed. No refund of finances shall be made if a student is dismissed from the bus service because of behavior.
