ACT & SAT

Most colleges and universities require either the ACT or the SAT tests for admission purposes. Students must begin taking these tests in the junior year. For complete information on these tests go to the links below.

St. Scholastica Academy offers PSAT and ACT prep classes free of charge to students. These classes are coordinated with the specific dates of these tests. It is advised that the students take the ACT in their junior year during the semester in which they are studying math. It is not advised that students take the test before the junior year of high school.

Taking the test too soon does not provide the student with the best opportunity for success. At SSA, we provide the students with a yearly ACT administered in the same testing procedures as used by ACT; therefore, the students have baseline test scores at no additional expense. From those scores, we know what knowledge to focus on for each student.
