After graduating from Washington and Lee University in spring 2009, Brittany Simpson ’05 is now attending the University of Notre Dame Law School. Her sister, Blakeley ’07, is a junior at Washington and Lee where she is pursuing a double major in Art History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies. Blakeley also studied in London for seven weeks during the summer. She plans to attend law school like her sister. |

Kate Harlan’08, sophomore at Baylor University, traveled to Niger, Africa for the month of July. She did art projects with the children and was responsible for providing all the art supplies for the month and transporting them to Africa. Kate is studying pre-nursing and would like to do a long-term mission trip to Africa after she graduates from Baylor. Kate’s mom, Cindy says, “She seems to have a heart for the children there.” Older sister, Brittany ’06, is a senior at Baylor and will graduate in May with a degree in finance. Kate and Brittany are the daughters of Mike and Cindy Harlan of Covington. |

Casey Crawford ’05 is on her way to Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, to make her professional debut as she will compete with the Haukar Hafnarfjordur football club of Iceland’s First Division for the final month of the team’s regular season. |
Sarah Nielsen ‘09, a science major at the University of Southern Mississippi and a member of the USM Dixie Darlings Dance Team, recently received a $4,000 scholarship from the University. The scholarship was given to Sarah after reviewing her standardized test scores in science and her SSA cumulative records in science. Sarah is the daughter of Bill and Wendy Nielsen and the sister of Sadie ’12. Congratulations! |
